Stop & Shop has announced the launch of the first clean driving program of its kind in New England called Restore™. The reduced emissions program is located at 105 Stop & Shop fuel stations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. As of September 23, 2019, when customers fuel up at one of the 105 fuel locations, Restore™ will calculate and offset tailpipe emissions through investments in reforestation, wind and solar projects, reducing the harmful effects of those emissions by up to 30 percent.
The Restore™ program demonstrates Stop & Shop’s commitment to reduce the company’s impact on the environment and to make it easier for customers to enjoy better food and better lives.
Fuel customers do not need to sign-up for Restore™, the offsets take place automatically!
Stop & Shop Restore™ gathered in Hadley MA; Berlin, CT; Johnston, RI; and Dedham, MA to celebrate the launch of the new initiative. In addition to their commitment to plant 100,000 trees regionally in proud partnership with Arbor Day Foundation, Restore™ announced a $5,000 charitable donation to community partners such as Town of Hadley, Town of Berlin, The Rhode Island Tree Council, and Dedham Public Works to be used in greens scape projects around the community.
