The project involves the construction and operation of a 201 MW wind farm, located in the southwest of Yumen County, Gansu Province. The generated electricity will partially displace electricity currently generated from grid connected conventional fossil fuel based thermal power plants, while reducing emissions of 430,588 tCO2 annually. The project is expected to produce various benefits to society as well as the environment.
